Since 2002, the Center for Fathers and Families has proudly sent our youth members on a Trip of a Lifetime to a city outside of Sacramento where they visit college campuses and other cultural areas. Past trips have visited Atlanta, New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles.

To earn a spot on the trip, our teens go through an intensive 8-week summer course that includes community services projects, boot camp, life skills training, homework, and more.

In August 2007, the Trip of a Lifetime visited New Orleans, LA. Eleven teens from the Center visited Xavier and Southern University. They then spent three days helping hurricane ravaged communities rebuild.
