What is BEST?
BEST Academy (Believing in Each Student Today) is an alternative suspension program that offers a positive educational choices to youth. Students who have been suspended from school spend their time away from class with a staff person from the Center for Fathers and Families. Successful completion of BEST can remove a suspension from a student's record.

The BEST Academy provides a safe environment while it supports and teaches:

• Youth and parents to develop nurturing relationships.
• Youth to develop and live their dreams.
• The idea that every youth is important
• Youth how to identify and develop their talents.
• Life skills including anger management and conflict resolution
• Time management and study skills
• Academic assistance and guidance.

Where is BEST Offered?
BEST is offered in conjunction with our MASTERS program. Most of the school sites that have MASTERS also offer BEST to students during the regular school day.
