AWARE - Adolescents Willing to Act Responsibly Everyday

What is AWARE?
AWARE (Adolescents Willing to Act Responsibly Everyday) is an intense summer program designed to educate youth age 8-18 in the areas of health, leadership, responsibility and community service. AWARE intends to help youth prepare for higher education and their potential career by building the essential skills needed to excel at home, school, and in the workforce.

AWARE offers young men and women the opportunity to:

  • develop and use leadership skills

  • contribute to the community through service and volunteerism
  • foster understanding and respect between groups and individuals
  • learn life skills and information for living a responsible, fulfilled life
  • understand and participate in our free enterprise system through fundraising activities
  • develop and enhance self-esteem; and
  • enjoy fellowship and develop self-confidence

When is it offered?
AWARE is an intense, eight-week, 5-days per week summer program. Successful teen graduates of AWARE go on to take the summer college tour in August.
