Youth Programs
The MASTERS after school program offers enrichment activities, recreation, literacy training, and homework assistance to middle and elementary school youth in the Natomas, Sacramento City, and Twin Rivers Unified School Districts. Sites are operated on campus, and they are open until 6pm each school day. There is no charge for families to enroll their students in the program.
MASTERS (Making After School Time Enriching, Rewarding, and Successful) was named by the students of Hagginwood Elementary School. In the 2011/2012 school year, MASTERS served over 1,300 elementary and middle school youth at 14 school sites on a daily basis.
The Center for Fathers and Families is partnering with the Twin Rivers Unified School District to submit a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant application to the CA Dept of Ed so we may expand the MASTERS program at Castori, Hazel Strauch and Smythe Academy beginning in the 2013/2014 school year.
Following is a list of current MASTERS program sites.
